ImaginOn Inks Agreements for Worldwide Distribution of Its ImOn.comTV Interactive Internet "Television Station in a Box"

SAN CARLOS, Calif.

(BUSINESS WIRE)

Oct. 6, 2000

ImOn.comTV(TM) OEM system integration agreement with DarimVision Co. Ltd. and distribution agreement with TransTec BV follow success of trade show roll out at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and International Broadcasting Conference (IBC) conventions.

Following on the successful market introduction of its ImOn.comTV(TM) interactive turnkey Internet "television station in a box" at both the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and International Broadcasters Conference (IBC) conventions, ImaginOn, Inc. (NASDAQ: IMON) (www.imaginon.com) today announced that it has entered into two significant non-exclusive agreements that will provide for worldwide distribution of its ImOn.comTV product line. The completion of these two new agreements comes on the heels of last week's announcement that the company has signed a non-binding Letter of Intent with Resonance Ltd. for a multi-stage $12-million round of equity funding that it expects to close within 120-days. "ImaginOn continues to focus on building a worldwide sales infrastructure that can expertly present and demonstrate the ImOn.comTV Internet television standard to target customers," Schwartz said today. "As more and more geographic regions deploy high bandwidth Internet access, the true benefits of the ImOn.comTV solution are becoming compelling to a broad range of content owners who are now in the position of being able to launch their own Internet television station for training, entertainment, education, direct marketing and publishing." Indeed, the emergence of this new market is at the heart of the agreement announced today between ImaginOn and Darim Vision Co. Ltd. (www.darim.com). Darim is a leading developer, manufacturer, and marketer of MPEG encoder, MPEG streaming, video surveillance, and video production systems and products. Founded in Taejon, the Republic of Korea, in 1991, Darim now operates company-owned regional sales and marketing offices in the United States (Pleasanton, California), Australia, Germany, Russia, the United Kingdom and maintains dealer relationships throughout Africa and the Middle East. Under the terms of the agreement announced today, Darim will now incorporate ImOn.comTV solutions as well as ImaginOn-owned core technology into the video servers Darim manufactures and markets. "We expect to play an important role in Darim's plans to bring interactive Internet television to its customers worldwide," Schwartz said today. In order to provide additional representation in the Benelux countries of Western Europe, ImaginOn today announced it has entered into a distribution deal with TransTec BV (www.transtec.nl). Founded in 1961, TransTec BV is headquartered in Rotterdam, the Netherlands and is one of the region's leading distributors of turnkey Internet streaming, professional video, professional audio, and home theater system solutions for corporations, broadcasters, post production facilities, recording studios and theaters. The company represents some of the world's leading names in technology, including Dolby, DK Audio, Media 100, KEF Monitors, Pixel Tools, Sonic Solutions, and Sonic Studios. As part of its non-exclusive distribution agreement with ImaginOn, TransTec will now actively sell the ImOn.comTV server-based Internet television system as part of its Internet streaming products group. ImaginOn, Inc. is an information technology company focused on developing and marketing video servers and software to deliver interactive TV on the Internet and intranets. ImOn.comTV, ImaginOn's lead product, is a turnkey package that enables any Web site to present an interactive television console within a standard browser window on any computer that has a high bandwidth network connection. The company's objective is to sell interactive Internet TV video servers and software to Web developers and businesses to communicate, entertain, inform, educate or promote e-commerce on the Internet and intranets. ImOn.comTV is a trademark of ImaginOn and is protected under U.S. Patents.
